Accept Crypto Payments with Blesta Payment Gateway

A Cryptonly account and an API key are enough. Install the gateway, save the credentials, and Blesta invoices can be paid in crypto. The steps below are the whole setup.

How to start accepting crypto payments on Blesta

  1. Sign up for a Cryptonly account

Create a merchant account in the Cryptonly dashboard. That account issues the API key, account id, and webhook signing key used in the steps below.

  2. Generate an API key

Create a key under Settings → Security → API keys with accounts.list, invoices.create, and invoices.list. Copy the account id from Accounts, and the webhook signing key from Settings → Security. Saving the gateway without that signing key is blocked.

  3. Install the Blesta gateway

Download the gateway from the Blesta Marketplace and extract the archive in the Blesta root so it merges with the existing components folder. Install Cryptonly under Settings → Company → Payment Gateways → Available. The upload path and gateway fields are in the Blesta integration guide.

  4. Save the gateway settings

Open Settings → Company → Payment Gateways → Installed, choose Manage next to Cryptonly, and enter the API key, account id, and webhook signing key. Leave a key blank on a later save to keep the stored value. The gateway checks the key and account id with GET /accounts before it stores them.

  5. Accept invoice payments

Use a public HTTPS address for the Blesta site so Cryptonly can deliver the webhook. Enable Cryptonly on the order form under Packages → Order Forms. On an invoice, the client pays on the hosted page. A signed invoice.statusChanged webhook applies the settled amount, or records a partial payment and leaves the balance open. The settings page shows this webhook URL, and the gateway sends it with each invoice.

What is Blesta

Blesta is billing software for hosting companies and other service businesses. It issues invoices, runs recurring billing, and records each payment against a client account.

A payment method is a non-merchant gateway. You extract it into components/gateways/nonmerchant, install it under Payment Gateways, and clients see it when they pay an invoice or place an order.

Cryptonly uses that gateway hook. Invoice totals stay in your billing currency. The client pays on a Cryptonly page, and a signed webhook applies the payment in Blesta when the funds settle.

Blesta FAQ

  • Which Blesta versions does the gateway support?

Blesta 6.0 or newer, on PHP 8.2, 8.3, or 8.4. The gateway is tested on Blesta 6.0.0 and 6.0.3.

  • Do I need to build a crypto checkout page?

No. The client pays on a Cryptonly hosted page and returns to the invoice. You do not build a wallet screen or watch the chain yourself.

  • What does it cost?

0.5% per payment, with no setup fee and no monthly fee.

  • Can I test the gateway before taking real payments?

Yes. Sandbox mode runs the hosted page and the webhook on testnet. Turn sandbox off and switch to production credentials when you are ready to accept live payments.

  • Do invoice amounts have to be in crypto?

No. Keep invoices in your billing currency. Cryptonly converts the amount when the client checks out.

  • How does Blesta know an invoice is paid?

Cryptonly sends a signed invoice.statusChanged webhook to callback/gw/{company_id}/cryptonly/. Paid and overpaid apply the amount still due. An overpay is not added as client credit. A partial payment is applied and the invoice stays open. Returning from the hosted page does not mark the invoice paid.
